"Innovation responds to a need"

James Todhunter suggested that "innovation responds to a need. Without need, there is no innovation-no value."

    Yes, although the funny thing about the innovation cycle is that is is never fully satisfied. Once one need is met, another is uncovered renewing the cycle.
